We are currently thinking what we should play at our 2021 annual concert. At this concert we like to focus on pieces from the archive we took a fancy to with particular emphasis on those pieces we haven't performed before. However, if there is a piece from a previous concert that you would like to hear again you can let us know via this blog.

The Newsletter you might have received yesterday didn’t look at all like the one I sent out! Something changed in the software settings of our webpage when our blog function was set up. Unfortunately, there are no links in the text of your Newsletter but they do appear at the bottom of the page (and they do work).

Apologies and hopefully everything will be working smoothly by the time we sent out the next one.

Well done Ana, for finding the silent film footage to go with this video. It is so appropriate because our music was often performed live by little cinema orchestras before the talkies were introduced.

This was the first of my home recordings that I did without the special microphone I invested in. The interface between my tablet and microphone was so cumbersome that I decided to just use the build-in microphone of my phone. I think the sound quality is nearly as good and the video quality is actually better this way. I hope the slightly reduced sound quality is not audible in the final mix.
